SALARY RANGE: $90,000-$120,000/year depending on experience & qualifications, relocation bonus if applicable
LOCATION: Ludington, MI, occasional travel

Job Summary:
The Clear Water Services environmental water treatment and equipment division at Tidal Vision is in a transitional period. Operations Manager will play a significant role in guiding our daily production operations towards excellence and strategic alignment. This role demands a leader who can seamlessly integrate operational management with a keen focus on quality control, ensuring that our operational processes are both efficient and effective, and driving the success of our production efforts by contributing to long-term strategic planning. This involves a thorough understanding of our manufacturing processes, leveraging team strengths, and optimizing resources to drive growth and innovation. Effective leadership will establish alignment of operational activities with Tidal Vision’s broader objectives, requiring a strategic mindset and the ability to communicate and implement plans at both tactical and strategic levels.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate and work within our Mission-Driven Culture’s Core Values and Principles and encourage your team to do the same.
- Plan, develop, and implement key initiatives and metrics that align with, and support the company vision, goals and strategic plan.
- Craft and implement production schedules that harmonize labor, machinery, and materials, ensuring timely delivery and optimal efficiency.
- Guide and mentor a diverse production team, including welders and assembly workers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Build and maintain a departmental structure, operating standards and practices that are responsive and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Oversee the development of employees through effective training, mentoring resources and other professional development activities.
- Lead companywide documentation process that captures each department’s procedures and learnings, collective knowledge, process improvements, resources and equipment, successes, failures and opportunities.
- Oversee compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and health and safety standards, and environmental laws, especially regarding waste disposal, emissions, and handling hazardous materials.
- Ensure that all work environments, practices, procedures and interactions are safe and productive.
- Promote and steadily improve productivity through efficient and effective employment and operational practices.
- Define and measure quality targets and outcomes to ensure that quality is consistently improved.
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and handling of inventory, equipment, and facilities.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Production, Industrial Management or related field is preferred.
- 5 or more years experience in Operations management including supervisory experience and demonstrated accomplishments in leading operations, production.
- Strong cultural competence and/or experience or understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion, and or non-violent conflict resolution skills for a professional setting are a plus.
Skills and Ability:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of modern production, Lean, policy, financial analysis, project management, and personnel management.
- Knowledge of the production process to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
- Must be able to develop business processes and management of projects.
- Computer proficiency.
- Exceptional and studied leadership, listening and interpersonal communication skills

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Most of the work is performed in production sites or other facilities and is required to oversee operations and collaborate with teams on-site. May require sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to move throughout the office to interact with employees. Position requires hand manipulative skills for word processing and writing. Must be able to hear verbal conversations over the phone and in-person with background noise. Must be able to consistently identify objects and persons at a distance and read fine print on various forms.
